Job Posting: Community Job Coach
Position Type: Part-Time
Position Summary:
The Community Job Coach provides individualized support services to individuals or small groups of individuals with various disabilities in securing, learning, performing, and maintaining jobs within the community. This position plays a vital role in promoting independence and workplace success for program participants by offering hands-on guidance and support in real-world employment settings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide direct support services to consumers in community-based job placements.

Build on participant strengths by leveraging past experience and direct observation of job performance.

Offer on-site or off-site supervision of consumers as outlined in their plan of service.

Gain working knowledge of all assigned job duties, employer expectations, and workplace routines.

Implement individualized rehabilitation plans.

Communicate participant concerns, progress, and patterns to the designated supervisor.

Attend required training sessions and participate in staff development activities.

Assist in the industrial workshop as needed, supporting both coaching and production roles during peak demand.

Support participant monitoring and other related duties as assigned.
Marginal Duties:

Participate in plan review meetings for consumers, as applicable.

Accurately track and document participant attendance and timekeeping records.
Additional Responsibilities for Driver Role:

Hold a valid chauffeur’s license (SVRC will assist in obtaining one if needed).

Maintain a safe driving record and comply with agency driving and safety procedures.

Perform pre- and post-use vehicle safety and maintenance checks.

Operate agency-owned vans to transport program participants to community or volunteer worksites.

Ensure all vehicle documentation and logs are completed accurately and promptly.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.

Ability to pass a Criminal History Background Check and Drug Screen.

Valid chauffeur’s license (or willingness to obtain with employer assistance).

Successful completion of agency-sponsored defensive driving course.
