Tenneco is one of the world's leading designers, manufacturers and marketers of automotive
products for original equipment and aftermarket customers. Through our DRiV, Performance
Solutions, Clean Air and Powertrain business groups, Tenneco is driving advancements in
global mobility by delivering technology solutions for light vehicle, commercial truck, offhighway, industrial, motorsport and the aftermarket.
This position is responsible for driving our strategic agenda within the Finance organization. The position may be based in Northville, MI and reports directly to the VP, Commercial Finance, CAPT of the company. This role is highly visible team working closely with Business Unit General Managers, CFOs, and the corporate finance and strategy teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Business analytics: develop and build models in collaboration with Tenneco Corporate finance and BU leadership teams to identify productivity, profitability and growth opportunities across Tenneco's business and make strategic decisions
Strategy development: guide stakeholders through the development of cohesive strategies on topics such as:
Financial performance and optimization
Market growth and segmentation
Operational productivity, performance and cost structure
Production network footprint
Reporting: lead the development of regular executive and board level briefings in collaboration with Finance Strategy and business unit leadership teams
Transaction support: work with Tenneco executive leadership and corporate strategy teams to conduct financial and operational performance analysis during M&A transactions
Performance Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve financial performance, including cost reduction and margin improvement programs
Shaping the direction of a major automotive tier 1 provider - financial performance, FP&A, and strategy
Regular and direct interface with business CFO as well as broader exposure with executive leadership team
Continue to push the limits on conceptual and analytical PS in an environment where you can own the outcome, truly running a business
Minimum Requirements
Education: Master's degree, or MBA, preferred in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering (with demonstrated financial experience) or a related field. Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: 4 years+ of experience in consulting or strategic finance, with exposure to the automotive or industrial sector, and driving sustainable impact in the automotive or industrial sector. The ideal candidate will have consulting experience from a top-tier consulting firm or comparable industry FPA experience.

Strong technical proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting
Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and innovate
Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to present complex information to senior management
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as CFA or CPA are beneficial.
