Description Of Duties:
- Sets up and operates equipment according to blueprint, work order or layout specifications. Sharpen and smooth cutting edge of tools using abrasive wheel.
- Positions and holds cutting edge of tool against abrasive wheel to sharpen and
smooth tool edge.
- Reposition and hold tool edge to further sharpen and smooth edge.
- Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
Requirements
Probation Period: 90 days
Experience: Preferred machine shop experience or working with related equipment such as grinding wheels, reading blueprints and schematics and reading calipers and micrometers.
Education: Highschool Diploma or GED
Specific Skills: Being able to select and dress wheels. Read and interpret blueprints and
routin s.
Work Record: Sound references with little or no late reporting.
