This role is a key leadership position within the Global Indirect Procurement team, responsible for developing and executing the global category strategy for Transportation, Logistics, and Packaging. The position directly supports our integrated global operations and manufacturing across all regions (Americas, Europe, and Asia). This position will manage a significant global spend, lead a small team, and is critical to achieving our goals for cost efficiency, supply chain resilience, and operational excellence.
General Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day supply chain activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability, and timeliness of the organization's supply chain
Manage and monitor all supply chain activities to ensure a cost-effective flow of merchandise from suppliers to customers
Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs
Suggest solutions for process improvements and implement solutions in a timely manner
Liaise with functional and operational area managers to ensure ensure supply chain strategies are integrated with other parts of the business
Organize and oversee inventory by keeping a detailed database of available inventory and expected usage per project
Select and manage ongoing relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to minimize costs and ensure satisfactory standards of service
Manage and develop staff to ensure resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Global Category Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement global strategies for Transportation & Logistics (inbound, outbound, inter-company freight) and Packaging (primary & secondary).
Lead complex global and regional RFx processes, supplier negotiations, and contract management for logistics providers (3PLs, carriers) and packaging suppliers.
Balance the use of global, centralized suppliers for scale with regional/local suppliers for agility and to mitigate disruption.
Partner with and challenge packaging suppliers to bring innovative, sustainable solutions to the table.
Partner with regional procurement and plant teams to ensure strategy adoption and leverage total company spend.
Direct experience in the packaging category is preferred.
Stakeholder Management & Leadership:
Act as the primary procurement business partner for the VP of Operations and regional operations, logistics leadership.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Global Procurement team members dedicated to these categories.
Present category strategies, performance metrics, and risk assessments to senior and executive leadership.
Performance & Supplier Management:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and a supplier performance management (SPM) program for the category.
Drive continuous improvement in cost, service, quality, and sustainability.
Mitigate supply chain risk through robust supplier relationship management and contingency planning.
Accountable for delivering annual cost savings targets as defined in the annual operating plan.

Base Salary Range:
$126,570.00 - $174,034.30
