Monroe County Community College has a full-time Automotive Lab Technician position open. This position is responsible for keeping automotive facilities and equipment in working condition so students will have an optimum learning environment. The Automotive Lab Technician interacts with division faculty and staff to establish instructional and equipment needs, establish annual automotive facilities budgets, and to support faculty with lab activity as needed. The Automotive Lab Technician assists in the hiring of student laboratory assistants and will be responsible for their training and supervision. START DATE: JANUARY 5, 2026
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor of Science degree in related field and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in automotive field, service or engineering/testing and R&D required. An Associate’s degree in a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience will be considered. ASE certification in one of the areas preferred, G1 required, or must be able to get within six months of hire. Some supervisory experience is preferred. Prior teaching experience preferred. Membership in a professional organization upon or after hire required.
