Magna Electronics, LLC has an opening for the position of Technical Project Lead (Ref# TPL1124TD).
Work Location: 26360 American Drive, Southfield, MI 48034.
Job Duties: Lead the Product Design Team in the development of advanced automotive technology safety products focused on LWIR (Long Wave Infrared) thermal camera in accordance with technology that supports restraint controls, vision/radar/LiDAR systems, and ADAS/AV. Primary technical contact for the customer and Product Development Team which includes members from hardware, software, systems, safety, security, mechanical, product assurance, and manufacturing. Read and interpret customer specifications and ensure requirements are documented and incorporated into the product design. Participate in the development of mechanical, electrical, and software domain and manufacturing technical requirements and specifications. Ensure test and analysis coverage validates that the design meets all requirements. Ensure manufacturing in a robust process. Responsible for delivery of design work products (FMEA, FTA, WCA, Testability, Requirement Bilateral Traceability, and others). Solve technical issues associated with customer and product demand. Drive failure analysis and present to the customer. In conjunction with Line Managers, ensure the proper internal processes and procedures are followed. Provide development work plans to the Project Manager. Assist Project Manager with APDS deliverables. Manage engineering part release and change control.
Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Project Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or related experience. Position requires 3 years of experience with the development of automotive safety products. 40hrs/week.
