Pep Boys is hiring experienced Automotive Mechanics who are committed to delivering accurate repairs AND strong customer experience. In this role, you’ll perform inspections, diagnose vehicle issues, repair automotive systems, and explain your recommendations clearly.

What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair to specifications — brake/hydraulic, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling system, suspension/alignment
- Perform all maintenance services and General Service Technician duties
- Explain diagnoses and repairs to both teammates and customer
- Continuously learn new repair techniques and product information
- Assist fellow technicians on technical activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized shop
- Follow all company policies, procedures, safety and environmental guidelines
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- 6+ months of automotive mechanical repair/problem-solving experience
- Section 609 Certification (preferred)
- State Inspection license (if applicable)
- A high level of motivation, energy, reliability, and customer focus
- Ability to successfully complete background screening
- Ability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends as needed
Physical Demands/Work Environment
This role requires frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., standing and walking for extended periods, bending/squatting, ladder use, operating tools and equipment safely, and working on and around moving vehicles. Accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
