Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
Registered Nurse opportunity as a Nurse Manager at Chelsea Hospital managing Endoscopy and the Pain Clinic.
The Nurse Manager serves as a member of the organization's nursing leadership team. Responsible for day-to-day operations, scheduling, staffing and providing 24/7 accountability for patient care delivery, planning, and evaluation of services of one or more clinical areas.
Provides clinical and administrative leadership for planning, organizing, directing, monitoring and evaluating safe, superior and preeminent quality patient care.
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
State of Michigan Registered Nursing license required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree required. Appropriate master's degree in nursing, Business or Health Administration preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years clinical nursing or leadership experience at the unit level in an ICU / Critical Care area.
BLS and ACLS required.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Participates in nursing leadership team to develop strategic plans, goals, standards of care, and operating plans.
Collaborates with inter-professional team on unit budgets and resource planning.
Leads performance improvement initiatives for colleague engagement, patient experience, safety, clinical outcomes, and financial targets.
Manages education, competencies, orientation, retention, and coaching to maintain safe, quality care.
Ensures recruitment, development, mentoring, and succession planning for engaged nursing staff; promotes shared leadership.
Participates in evaluating and integrating healthcare technology and information systems.
Partners with Director of Nursing and team to implement evidence-based programs, policies, and protocols for continuous improvement.
Communicates regularly with nursing leaders and staff on patient safety, quality, engagement, and satisfaction; develops action plans as needed.
