Description
We're looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to support daily billing, collections, and cash application functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable managing high volumes of transactions, and able to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
Generate and distribute invoices accurately and on schedule
Process customer payments, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions
Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on past-due accounts
Research and resolve billing discrepancies or payment issues
Maintain customer account records and update payment information as needed
Prepare aging reports and assist with month-end closing activities
Collaborate with sales, customer service, and accounting teams to ensure accurate billing
Support audit requests and provide documentation as required
Requirements
Requirements:
1-3 years of AR, billing, accounting, or related experience
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar)
Strong communication and customer-service skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Intermediate Excel skills preferred
