Excavator Operator (Contract Work)
Full-Time | Outdoor Work | Earthmoving & Timber Clearing
We're looking for an Excavator Operator to join our crew. This role involves running 30-60 ton excavators to move earth, clear timber, and help prepare land for site work. If you have some operating experience and a strong work ethic, we'd like to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities
Operate 30-60 ton excavators for earthmoving, timber clearing, and shaping work areas
Remove trees, brush, and debris safely and efficiently
Assist with cutting, loading, stacking, and staging timber/brush
Perform daily walk-arounds, inspections, and basic equipment upkeep
Follow direction from the foreman and stay aligned with project schedules
Maintain a clean and safe work zone
Assist with general labor tasks when equipment work slows down
Qualifications
Preferably 2-3+ year of excavator operating experience (will consider less with the right attitude and willingness to learn)
Ability to safely operate mid-to-large excavators (30-60 ton range)
Basic knowledge of safe digging practices, grading, and slope awareness
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
Dependable, safety-minded, and able to take direction
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Schedule
Full-time, Monday-Friday (occasional Saturdays depending on workload or rain outs)
