Value Optimization Engineer (VOE):
The Value Optimization Engineer (VOE) supports the VO Driver in executing cost reduction actions for assigned subsystems. The VOE focuses on proposal analysis, data collection, and progress tracking, collaborating with engineering and supplier teams to ensure the timely implementation of approved initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the VO Driver in managing cost-saving activities within specific subsystems (e.g., dashboard, exterior lighting)
Support proposal preparation including technical inputs and basic financials
Track the status of initiatives and update project documentation
Coordinate with engineering teams and suppliers to follow up on implementation
Conduct data analysis and benchmarking to identify new saving opportunities
Monitor subsystem cost performance and report deviations
Prepare internal reports and presentations for status meetings
Support application of cost optimization tools and methods
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of related experience
Initial experience in cost engineering, product development, or procurement
Familiarity with automotive subsystems and cost-saving logic
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis
Attention to detail, good teamwork, and organizational skills
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment
