We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with seniors and individuals with disabilities and a desire to provide engaging activities that promote mental and physical well-being. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy planning and coordinating events and have a knack for connecting others.

• Plan, coordinate and lead recreational and social activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
• Develop and implement activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation and physical exercise, including but not limited to arts and crafts, games and outings.
• Ensure activities align with the goals of our home community care, senior care, and assisted living programs.
• Collaborate with other members of our team, including social workers and healthcare professionals, to ensure that activities support the overall care and well-being of our residents.
• Provide one-on-one support to residents who require assistance with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing or toileting.
• Develop and maintain schedules to ensure that activities are offered at times that are convenient for our residents.
• Maintain accurate records of participation and activity outcomes.
