Solyco LLC dba Solyco Advisors in Birmingham, MI is seeking an Associate to perform numerical analysis of data related to investment programs or financial information from public or private organizations, including assessing the value of businesses.
Job responsibilities and duties include:
- Actively engage with target companies to assess business models, scalability, and competitive positioning
- Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, founders, and industry stakeholders
- Develop and refine advanced financial models to evaluate investment returns, cash flows, and valuation scenarios
- Manage detailed due diligence processes, coordinating with internal teams and external advisors
- Prepare and present investment memorandums and presentations to internal committees
- Collaborate with portfolio company leadership teams to implement strategic initiatives
- Act as a mentor to junior analysts, overseeing their work and ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Support the fundraising process by preparing materials and engaging with potential investors

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or any related financial field of study, plus at least one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in any related investment banking or management consulting positions in which the required experience was gained.
Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, or knowledge with the following:
- Financial Modeling
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel demonstrated by an ability to utilize two or more of the following: Macros, VBA, Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts, Data Visualization or Scenario Analysis.
- PitchBook
- Capitalization Tables
- Venture Financing Structures
- Venture capital metrics and fund structures
- Analyzing and modeling term sheets
Work from home (WFH) benefit available. Domestic travel is required up to 5% of the time. Local (Oakland County) or overnight travel may be required.
