The office clerk provides assistance to various departments by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned.
Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions on a daily basis.
Investigate problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payrment for bills.
Reconciles report discrepancies and problems.
Codes data for input to accounts payable system according to company procedures.
Reviews, balances and interprets computer reports and makes corrections.
Assists employees, vendors, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
Generates monthly preformatted reports from computer system.
General clerical duties including photocopying, fax, mailing and scanning.
Handle requests for information and data from other departments and outside customers.
Type correspondence, including memos, reports, etc.
Run quarterly sales reports, back-up for daily cash report.
Answering phones and receiving visitors in reception area.
Daily invoicing to customers and processing credits.
Other duties as assigned.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of AS400 computer system, Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
