GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Associate - Homecare Intake position serves as the clerical support to the intake process for Home Care, Hospice and Private Duty Services. The responsibilities included but are not limited to:
The main communication between coordinators, intake staff, referral sources, physicians and inter-departments within Henry Ford Allegiance Health.
Referral source interactions include, but are not limited to, working closely with coordinators, physicians, board and care facilities, other referral sources, patients, management and other staff and the general public.
The Intake Associate receives general referrals from external sources for nursing, physical and
occupational therapies, medical social work, and home health aides.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Completed course work in medical terminology
One (1) year minimum work experience in a healthcare environment preferred
Customer service experience, preferably via telephone communications
