Tasks: Perform any combination of front desk services including taking reservations on computer, talking to guests, check-in/out, posting credit card and cash payments and processing charges to guest rooms, giving directions, light dusting of office area, folding towels during down time & communicating with housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are cleaned. Deliver breakfast boxes. Breakfast boxes are to be delivered to guest rooms inside the hotel. 40 hours per week. Varying number of hours per workday depending on shift. Monday-Sunday; Shifts vary between 6:00AM-12:00AM. Days vary. 5-15 hours of OT possible. High School/GED required. 3 months of experience is required. The employee will not supervise other workers. Travel will not be required. Wage: $16.22/hour. OT Wage: $24.33/hour. Workers paid biweekly. Optional employee housing available for $220 every two weeks to be deducted from pay if elected. In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business. Optional daily transportation from housing to worksite and worksite to housing provided at $30.00 biweekly to be deducted from pay if elected. On the job training provided. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered to any worker in the specified occupation, at the company’s sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill and tenure. Single workweek will be used to compute wages due. All deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law will be made. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers’ reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence provided at a rate of at least $16.28/day during travel to a maximum of $68/day with receipts/documentation of actual expenses. H2B Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job, and guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12 week period of total employment period.
