Position: Extruder Operator – 2nd Shift
Location: Midland, MI
Employer: Newton Services Foundation (on behalf of client company)
Job Summary:
The Extruder Operator is responsible for extrusion, pelletizing, and packaging processes. Safe work practices and good housekeeping are essential components of the job. The operator reports directly to the shift leader.
Responsibilities Include:

Follow all operator procedures.

Set up extrusion run conditions per work order.

Feed the extruder and operate air knife, pelletizer, screener, and packaging air-vey systems.

Load raw materials into totes and load/unload dryer.

Prepare and band product gaylords, including final product sampling.

Record activities on the Extrusion Run Record and label scrap material.

Maintain consistent housekeeping standards.
Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required.

Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Exemplary attendance and punctuality are required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Position involves walking, standing, bending, twisting, and lifting.

Prior plastics extrusion experience preferred, but not required.
