Position: Extruder Operator – 1st Shift

Job Summary:
Newton Services is currently searching for an Extruder Operator to fill a first shift position with a client located in Midland, MI.
The ideal candidate will have a solid work history, proven dependability, and a demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Experience using and reading measuring devices is also required.
Responsibilities Include:

Operate a twin-screw extruder converting equipment, primarily via a touch screen HMI, to produce polypropylene/paper pellets.

Perform material handling, including weighing and staging raw materials and packaging, sampling, and performing in-process testing.

Complete and maintain department paperwork and production documentation.

Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free work area.
Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required.

Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Exemplary attendance and punctuality are required.

Proven mechanical aptitude and record of accurate documentation.

Ability to use and read measuring devices and perform basic math for computing yields.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to follow written instructions and procedures.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
