SUMMARY
The Sergeant is a frontline shift supervisor responsible for coordinating and supervising daily guard operations across multiple posts during their assigned shift. They are the third most senior on-site. Sergeants play a crucial role in maintaining post coverage, verifying officer readiness, and responding to incidents in real-time. They serve as a direct supervisory presence for Security Officers, ensuring adherence to post orders, appearance standards, and operational procedures. As part of our layered supervisory model, Sergeants provide essential oversight that reinforces continuity, compliance, and contract performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise Security Officers and during assigned shifts to ensure full contract compliance and performance to standard.
Conduct shift briefings, communicate operational updates, and reinforce site-specific protocols and safety priorities.
Validate post assignments, verify officer presence and readiness using biometric and digital systems (e.g., Mobohubb, Findd), and adjust coverage as needed.
Conduct random and scheduled post inspections to verify compliance with General and SiteSpecific Post Orders, SOPs, and appearance requirements.
Support incident response efforts, including coordinating initial actions, notifying the Lieutenant, Captain or Deputy PM, and preparing incident reports.
Provide coaching and performance feedback to officers, and document any infractions for review by the Captain and PM. - Submit shift logs, inspection forms, and field reports to inform ongoing performance monitoring and QCP activities.
Train and mentor staff and new officers, fostering consistent standards of professionalism and operational knowledge.
Maintain readiness to step in at posts if necessary, especially during coverage shortfalls, emergencies, or transitions
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives general direction from the Lieutenant, Captain or Project Manager. Exercises direct supervision over 1-5 Security Officers. Provides input to the management in regards to operation, status of posts, and Security Officers.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
These individuals shall have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Law Enforcement or Armed Contract Physical Security Service personnel supervision and management.
Proven ability to lead shift-level personnel and enforce operational discipline in dynamic security environments.
Must meet all contract-required qualifications for armed Security Officers, including licensing, medical/fitness certification, and background checks.
Familiarity with federal installation access control, roving patrol, and emergency response procedures preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate shift-level documentation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain any site-specific clearance levels required by the contract.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating policies and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence.
