Job Title: Sawmill General Laborer (A Shift)
Location: Performance Pallet - 560 N Guard St. Carney, MI
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
Starting Pay is $17.00/hour with increase at 90 days and again upon yearly review.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Laborer to join our team at Performance Pallet Sawmill. This position is responsible for assisting with various tasks throughout the mill to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sorting, stacking, and moving lumber and other materials.
- Operate basic sawmill machinery and tools under supervision.
- Monitor and inspect lumber for quality and consistency.
- Remove scrap wood and debris to maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Support machine operators and other team members as needed.
- Perform general maintenance and upkeep of equipment.

- Prior experience in a sawmill, lumberyard, or similar industrial setting is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor or warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
