Provides inpatient medical care, with the supervision but not necessarily the presence of a qualified physician member of the medical staff, e.g.: Patient history, physical examination, ordering and interpreting tests, making diagnoses and instituting treatment plans.
Provides inpatient consultation on internal medicine conditions and may unction as a critical team member on the hospital code team.
In conjunction with the supervising physician conducts admission evaluations and assessments and provides inpatient medical coverage for community physicians as necessary.
May be required to take call.
Specific procedures within the Department of Medicine are individually credentialed as indicated by training and experience.
12hrs/ 13 shifts per month 6p-6a
Must be a Masters prepared Registered Nurse who has graduated and taken the board certification within their chosen specialty -OR- Requires a Bachelor's Degree; completion of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program; licensure as a Physician Assistant.
