Responsibilities
? Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of frontend engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
? Architect and build high-performance React applications for Benzinga Pro, Benzinga.com, and emerging financial tools.
? Drive adoption of modern frontend practices: TypeScript, Next.js, and efficient state management (e.g., React Query or Context API).
? Collaborate cross-functionally with backend, product, and design teams to define and
deliver impactful features.
? Optimize performance, scalability, and accessibility across our web applications.
? Use AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development-while ensuring robust, maintainable, and human-reviewed code.
? Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and deployment workflows.
? Debug production issues and proactively improve stability and observability.
? Participate in sprint planning, architecture discussions, and product ideation.
Requirements
? 5+ years of professional frontend development experience.
? Proven experience leading teams or significant projects in a production environment.
? Deep knowledge of React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
? Experience with Next.js or similar frameworks for server-side rendering and routing.
? Familiarity with testing tools like Jest and React Testing Library.
? Strong understanding of performance optimization, accessibility standards, and modern build tools (e.g., Turbopack, Vite, Webpack).
? Comfort collaborating in a fast-paced, agile environment with CI/CD pipelines.
? Bonus experience with:
? Financial markets or fintech products. ? Kubernetes, SQL (MySQL/Postgres), or MongoDB. ? Feature flags, A/B testing, or observability tools. ? Startup or entrepreneurial experience.
? Excellent communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
