As a Commercial Support Specialist, you will LEAD by..........
The Commercial Support Specialist will be based in Michigan with responsibility for identifying customer needs, developing/ maintaining relationships with key purchasing, engineering and customer contacts in order to support mobile emissions catalysts products, services, and technologies. This is an excellent developmental opportunity for future movement into Account Management.
In this role you will
Support global launch activities
Attend key customer Product Development Team (PDT) and Purchasing meetings.
Track customer programs and deliverables, including internal timetables as well as enter sample orders/prototypes and track them
Initiating and tracking new part numbers, ISPs and PPAPs.
Identify new business opportunities and enhance existing customer relationships, canner relationships, market share, and profitability as well as account strategy, market share and profitability
Promote business growth and relationship building
Maintain a customer scorecard to ensure preferred supplier status
Travel for the role is anticipated to be 10% of the time, domestically and internationally. This person will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days a week.
Your elements for success......
Bachelors degree required, preferably in engineering, science, marketing or a related discipline.
3+ years of experience in an engineering, technical, commercial or project management role with diverse customer relationships.
Automotive experience preferred
Experience with sales activities, program development/launch, development, and implementation of business plans/strategies.
ERP system knowledge (SAP) and strong database management skills preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with key decision makers.
