Nature Based Lead Preschool Teacher Job Description
Company: Big Steps Little Feet Christian Childcare & Preschool has been in operation for 28 years in the Ada community and is launching a nature based program on 11 acres north of Ada. It comprises fifteen classrooms, a full-service kitchen, a gym, and two playgrounds. It is owned by Rob & Annette Young and onsite leadership is:

Lead Teacher Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old and be a positive caregiving role model for staff and children. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background fingerprinting check. Must have a high school diploma or GED, have current CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogen certification, or be willing to obtain certification upon hire. Must have a current and medically validated TB test, or be willing to complete the test before your start date. Must be reliable, punctual, and have dependable transportation. Must have customer service skills and be professional. Must be aware of the unique needs of toddlers and preschoolers.
Additionally, proven experience as a Preschool Teacher is required, a Child Development Associate certificate or higher level of education in child development, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to remain calm in a busy environment, ability to multitask and exercise excellent classroom management, competency in child development and techniques for challenging behavior management.
