The City of Ishpeming is seeking a self-motivated individual to serve as Rental Inspector. This position performs a variety of routine and complex work in the interpretation and enforcement of Ordinance 7-500 Rental Inspections including inspections, assisting with cases being prepared for trial/hearings; and compiling information and exhibits. The position is part-time at approximately 30 hours per week but can be increased or decreased by the employer based on workload.
Prefer experience with enforcement of civil infractions and misdemeanors, building codes, and building/construction. The position works under the direction of the Planning/Zoning Administrator.
