Position Summary:
The Sr Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization.
This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas.
The Sr. Recruiter plays a critical role in ensuring the subsidiary hires the best possible talent.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities as Assigned:
Assists with developing and implementing innovative sourcing strategies designed to attract highly competent candidates.
Develops interview guides for open positions that meet legal compliance and trains management in their use.
Evaluates trends and recommends strategies in recruitment and changes in the job market.
Advises and assists management staff in the application and interpretation of policies and union contract compliance as they relate to employment.
Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
Formally responds to union grievances.
Prepares advertisements, develops and maintains relationships with various employment contacts (i.e. schools, professional associations, etc.) to source qualified candidates.
Acts as a team leader in the absence of the manager.
Completes offers of employment, including communication of benefit information.
Ensures employee clears physical and drug testing.
Negotiation of terms and conditions of employment including compensation and benefits detail.
Effectively on-boards candidates to assure all required personnel documents and processes are met.
Develops and prepares job profiles and assists with job description creation.
Participates in career fairs, open houses and other recruiting activities.
Communicates with hiring managers regarding the status of their job openings, applicant pool, and other issues that may expedite the hiring process.
Screens candidates for valid qualification for position.Schedules appropriate testing when applicable.
Ensures all background checks are complete to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies (licensing, registration, and OIG).
Advertises in a variety of media to include on-line, print and/or trade journals and track advertising expenses.
Acts as liaison between employment interviewers and job applicants.
Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and five (5+) yrs progressive experience.
