Our client, a leading facility supporting industrial and manufacturing operations, is seeking a Stationary Engineer to join their team. As a Stationary Engineer, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Stationary Engineer
Location: Orion Township, MI
What's the Job?
Operate and monitor hydronic boiler and chiller systems to ensure optimal performance
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on pumps, motors, valves, and other mechanical equipment
Conduct vibration analysis and align rotating machinery for efficiency and longevity
Maintain and repair cooling towers and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring environmental compliance
Perform welding, pipefitting, and fabrication tasks to support system maintenance and upgrades
What's Needed?
High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience operating hydronic boilers and chillers
Valid boiler operator license and EPA 608 Universal Certification
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in pump and motor repair/rebuild
Proficiency in welding, pipefitting, and mechanical alignment techniques
