Job Description:
The Converting Operator supports the manufacture and shipment of fly lines by performing coiling, looping, and packing job functions. Additional responsibilities may include picking, packing, shipping, and general warehouse duties as needed.

Daily interaction with production associates, analysts, maintenance, quality, and management staff

Occasional contact with finance, sales, product development, and company leadership

Produce high-quality fly lines at KPM standard rates

Follow SOPs and product standards with detail and care

Troubleshoot and resolve process issues to ensure defect-free production

Rotate across multiple manufacturing processes for operational flexibility
General Responsibilities:

Follow plant safety and environmental rules
-
Operate machinery to convert skein fly lines into finished coiled, printed, looped, and packed products
-
Identify and participate in process improvement projects
-
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to solve product/process issues
-
Review and correct SOPs and product standards
-
Train new associates to become self-managed operators
-
Collaborate with vendors on process technology improvements
-
Support overtime needs as required (vacations, production demands, etc.)
-
Lead production peers in troubleshooting and meeting production targets
-
Learn new techniques and processes as needed
-
Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervision

Physical Requirements:
