Staff Accountant - Full Time
Location: Hybrid (3 days in-office after 90 days of training)

The Staff Accountant will play an integral role in managing the accounting functions for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. You will work closely with colleagues across the organization while gaining exposure to diverse areas of real estate accounting. This position offers a clear growth path within the company, making it an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports to support business decisions.
Maintain depreciation and amortization schedules for assigned properties.
Reconcile bank statements, ensuring accuracy of balances and timely resolution of variances.
Prepare and maintain annual work papers for audits, reviews, and compliance needs.
Review and approve invoices and payments in accordance with company policies.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure appropriate coding of transactions.
Assist in cash forecasting to support operational needs.
Partner in the preparation of annual budgets and ongoing budget monitoring.
Support annual income tax preparation and external audit processes.

Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required (or equivalent experience).
1-5 years of prior accounting experience required; real estate or property management accounting experience preferred.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software systems.
