Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our residents in rehabilitation and long-term care environments. This role requires a strong commitment to resident care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
Provide support in mobility and transportation of residents using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to infection control protocols.
Document resident care activities accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with nursing staff to implement resident care plans and report any changes in resident conditions.
Support residents with special needs, Alzheimer's disease, or dementia care requirements.
Engage in effective communication with residents and their families to provide emotional support and education regarding care plans.
Experience:
Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:
Experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical documentation processes is essential.
Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, or individuals requiring hospice care is beneficial.
