Volt is immediately hiring for Hi/Lo Forklift Operator in Coopersville and Walker, MI.
As a Hi/LO Forklift Operator you will:
Responsible for performing the physical or combined administrative/physical tasks involved in the storing, counting and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Compiles and maintains records of quantity, cost and type of material stocked and issued, and prepares material requisitions.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Works from requisition, order list or stock list to pull required items.
- Uses a checklist as items are pulled to ensure kit accuracy.
- Accumulates orders, reports shortages and transports completed orders to distribution point or staging area.
- Processes returned items and unscheduled issues.
- Compiles and maintains inventory of material received, stocked, and issued.
- Prepares requests for procurement of material.
- Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
- Take inventory of stored items through cycle counting.
- May audit kits for accuracy.
This is a full time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Completion of high school, vocational training or equivalent is preferred.
- Must be able to operate Hi/Lo and Order Picker
- May require ability to read and apply color-coding and schematics; component prepping, inspect components; operate telephones, data entry equipment, spreadsheet software; MRP system, electronic scales, pallet jack, staple gun, cycle counting, kitting.
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Typically requires addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills.
- Supply, move material to production line, make inquiries in inventory systems. Performs cyclic counts of materials in production floor and returns material in system.
- 1 year of related experience.
- Certification in MRP system
Shifts:
1st: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Mon-Fri
2nd: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm Mon-Fri
3rd: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am Sun-Thu
Pay Rate: $18.00-$18.50 per hour
