This full time exempt position will work with the Women Inspired Neighborhood (WIN) Network in Detroit. WIN Network is a collaborative partnership supported by Henry Ford that works with new and expecting mothers to build up healthy environments by surrounding participants with a safety net of social, emotional, and clinical supports. GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under guidance of a director or manager, Supervisor-CHEW is responsible for overseeing the daily activities and performance of assigned programs, projects, initiatives, and/or teams. The supervisor ensures that any prescribed objectives are met by coordinating outreach efforts, managing workloads, and providing guidance and support to subordinate team members. Key responsibilities include developing and delivering training materials, fostering team member engagement, monitoring and reporting program effectiveness, and liaising with leadership to ensure quality and intended outcomes. The supervisor will also ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain accurate records of program activities and outcomes.
H/She executes specific stages of project plans specific to community health, equity, diversity and inclusion, and/or wellness projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with monitoring short and long-term project goals, maintaining a project workplan, facilitating project meetings, monitoring and controlling project activities, ensuring all team members have the resources and materials they need, interacting with internal and external customers at all levels, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met, regularly maintaining and filing paperwork, and gathering and reporting metrics. S/he must have strong interpersonal communication, time management, problem solving, technical and organizational skills to keep projects on track. Prior experience supervising multiple team members is required. Ability to work on multiple projects, assisting with research (i.e., data entry, data collection, data management, basic statistical analysis) and assisting with budgeting details is a plus.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports manager in executing program, reporting outcomes, daily, weekly and monthly productivity and program effectiveness; troubleshooting and monitoring effectiveness regularly.
Responsibilities as supervisor include scheduling, conducting regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to provide guidance, support, and feedback, supporting professional development, and conducting performance evaluations.
Guide team members and ensure they are properly trained on program protocols, policies, and best practices, identifying opportunities for improvement and/or developing new strategies as needed.
Duties may also include coordinating recruitment and retention efforts, development of data collection tools, managing databases and other evaluation activities, and facilitating team meetings. May also be required to fulfill same duties as subordinates, either to provide coverage in times of absence, and/or to support volume of need on an ongoing.
Leadership in monitoring project activities, monitoring time and effort reporting, interacting with internal and external customers at all levels, along with reporting and responding to requests from grant funders and senior leadership will be key.
Additional responsibilities may include conducting site visits; helping develop program goals and objectives, program budgets, grant proposals, scientific abstracts, manuscripts, presentations, and curriculum design.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Three to five (3-5) years of experience in community health, equity, diversity and inclusion, and/or wellness preferred.
Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.
3- 5 years of Maternal Child Health Experience preferred.
