Duties Include:
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and cleaning to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Monitor and document client health status, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals as necessary.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall quality of life for clients.
- Be a reliable, friendly presence they look forward to seeing.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving or home health is preferred but not mandatory. (Training provided)
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus.
- Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and home care practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact compassionately with clients and their families.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
- A valid driver's license may be required depending on client needs.
