We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans and provide high-quality patient care in our outpatient clinics. Your expertise in anatomy and therapeutic techniques will be essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering therapeutic exercises and modalities.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising physical therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises and home care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments and progress notes in compliance with facility protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize specialized techniques such as trigger point therapy as needed for effective treatment outcomes.
- Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology is essential.
- Experience in skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, home health or acute care preferred.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans for diverse patient populations, including geriatrics.
- Strong communicatin skills to effectively interact with patients, families and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating empathy and patience in patient interactions.
- Certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant as required by state regulations.
