Western U.P. Health Department is seeking an experienced public health or emergency management professional to coordinate and manage its Emergency Preparedness and Bioterrorism Response Program. This position plays a central role within the organization and community, and within the region’s health care delivery system.
Starting wage: $29.73 – $32.15/hr.
Bachelor’s degree in epidemiology, health system administration, biology, environmental health, or related degree with academic background in human biology, disease detection and control, program planning and administration required. Graduate degree in public health, public administration, environmental health, medicine, or related field preferred.
Position covers the five-county region from a base in Hancock and requires regular travel to various locations within the region, and occasional travel within and out of state. Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license.
