R Janus Supply, a janitorial supply retailer in downtown Port Huron, MI. We are seeking a personable, knowledgeable, detail oriented and reliable Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative to join our team. This position plays a critical role in managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a smooth cash flow process.
Schedule: Part time. Monday – Thursday, 24 hours per week.
Wages and benefits correspond with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Computer skills and knowledge are a must
- Experience writing invoices
- Experience processing and entering invoices
- Maintain customer records, using automated systems
- Process/Enter sales orders. Prepare and submit sales contracts for orders
- Generate and prepare pick tickets for daily truck deliveries
- Assist walk-in existing and new customers with products
- Provide customers with ongoing technical support
- Perform sales calls to generate new business. Follow-up calls, emails, and correspondence
- Contact new or existing customers to discuss how specific products or services can meet their needs
- Ability to learn knowledge of all products (chemicals, paper, floor machines, etc.) Study documentation or other information for new scientific or technical products
- Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, or credit terms
- Select or assist customers in selecting products based on customer needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations
- Communicate with internal departments and external clients regarding issues
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong knowledge of sales and procedures.
- Proficiency in computers.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information.
