Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and dependable Carpenter’s Assistant to support our carpenters on residential and light commercial construction projects. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience with potential for advancement. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to job sites as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist carpenters with framing, trim, siding, and other construction tasks
- Load, unload, and organize tools and materials
- Maintain clean and safe job sites
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials under supervision
- Operate basic hand and power tools
- Follow directions from lead carpenters and supervisors
- Transport materials and supplies between shop and job sites when needed
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel to different job sites as required
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions
- Punctuality and a positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior construction or carpentry experience a plus but not required
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices
