Job summary:
We are seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our dynamic and patient-focused dermatology team. This role supports both medical and surgical dermatology care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Previous dermatology or surgical experience is a plus, but not required. We also welcome applicants taking a gap year prior to attending medical or nursing school. Responsibilities:
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms
- Assist providers during visits and surgeries
- Sterilize instruments and manage inventory
- Document visits and procedures in EMR
- Follow up with patients and manage communications
- Maintain safety and infection control standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and provider team
Ideal Candidate:
Reliable, compassionate, and a team player with strong communication and multitasking skills. Should be comfortable working directly with patients, assisting during surgical procedures, and using EMR systems. Familiarity with HIPAA, infection control practices, and clinical safety standards is expected. Current BLS/CPR certification is preferred.

Experience (Preferred):
- 1–2 years clinical or surgical nursing or medical assisting
- Experience with dermatology or outpatient procedures
License/Certification:
- MA (required) and/or LPN (required)
- BLS/CPR (preferred)
Physical requirements and Work Environment:
Duties are performed in an indoor office setting, with light to moderate noise. Occasional work requires lifting or moving of objects up to 20 pounds. Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours. Work involves typing (on keyboard and tablet devices), using the telephone, standing for extended periods of time, and walking. Common equipment used would include multi-line telephone, fax machine, computer, iPad, copier, and scanner.
