Position Overview
As a Solutions Architect in our Palantir Foundry practice, you’ll lead the design and delivery of end-to-end data solutions for manufacturing clients. You’ll translate high-level objectives into scalable architectures, guide multidisciplinary delivery teams, and ensure measurable business value at every stage.
Your work will enable our clients—Tier-1 automotive suppliers—to optimize costs, improve product quality, and modernize their data operations.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Planning
- Lead business-process mapping workshops to align real-world manufacturing entities with Palantir ontology.
- Produce Initial Architecture Sketches, Business Value Canvases, and Use Case Charters.
Data Modeling & Integration
- Design and implement ingestion pipelines using Foundry connectors or custom code.
- Define data transformation, normalization, and modeling strategies in the operational ontology.
- Apply object-level and row-level access controls for security and governance.
Application Development & Delivery
- Design modular Slate/Workshop applications and Code Workbooks to address prioritized user stories.
- Advise on embedding machine learning and forecasting pipelines using Quiver or Code Workbooks.
Governance & Deployment
- Define CI/CD patterns for pipelines and applications using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Establish DevOps practices for production support.
- Develop governance artifacts, including RBAC matrices, lineage validation reports, and the Client Handoff Playbook.
Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
- Translate business requirements into architectural deliverables (UML diagrams, data-flow charts, solution documentation).
- Facilitate design reviews, sprint ceremonies, and executive-level technical presentations.
- Align cross-functional teams, including business owners, data engineers, and ML practitioners.
Technical & Domain Skills (Required)
- Deep knowledge of Palantir Foundry components (Data Lineage, Ontology, Pipeline Builder, Slate, Workshop, Code Workbooks)
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark, REST/GraphQL APIs
- Expertise in security and governance (RBAC models, compliance, data-lineage validation)
- Familiarity with Git-based CI/CD, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Manufacturing domain experience with ERP/PLM systems (e.g., PLEX, ENOVIA), supply-chain finance, and shop-floor analytics
Functional & Coordination Skills (Required)
- Strong technical documentation skills (UML, data-flow diagrams, architecture decision records)
- Hands-on experience with Agile delivery (Scrum/SAFe), including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Proven ability to engage stakeholders across business and technical teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years in solution architecture or enterprise-scale software delivery
- At least 3 successful Palantir Foundry implementations
- Demonstrated track record of architecting data-driven solutions in manufacturing or adjacent sectors
- Excellent communication skills with experience presenting complex architectures to C-suite audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Palantir Foundry certification or vendor-led training
- Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Certified Agile Architect credentials
- Prior experience with Tier-1 automotive suppliers or digital manufacturing initiatives
