Cherry Health (www.cherryhealth.org) is the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in Michigan and provide integrated healthcare services at 20 locations. We provide a health care home for those who may not otherwise have access. We currently have an opening for a full-time RN Nursing Supervisor at our Burton Health Center location. This is a family practice office located within a school setting. Some of the patients we see at Burton are students, but many patients are community members who live in the surrounding area.

Must be bilingual in English/Spanish. Must have an RN license in the State of Michigan. A Bachelor of Nursing degree is preferred. Relevant clinical and supervisory experience necessary and experience in family practice is preferred. An understanding of PCMH, Lean Sigma, and a familiarity with the NextGen EMR system are helpful. Must have current BLS certification. Leadership skills and strategic thinking ability with a commitment to best practices and developing a culturally and ethnically diverse staff who treat patients and staff with dignity and respect are essential.
The RN Nursing Supervisor will be responsible to:
Work with site manager to determine staffing needs and standards based on patient care needs, patient flow, medical acuity, procedures, budget, staff skills and other clinic needs.
Ensure services are managed to meet the requirements of, and maximize opportunities under, Federally Qualified Health Center designation.
Oversee workflow to achieve maximum clinical and support staff productivity.
Interview, select, train, supervise and evaluate clinical team members. Foster productive practices by managing and mentoring staff, providing feedback and encouraging activities that improve performance.
Provide direct nursing care to patients, perform assessments, carry out education and instruction, and assist providers with medical procedures consistent with protocols and guidelines.
Manage phone calls by assessing callers’ needs and triaging as appropriate.
Ensure that the flow of information among the care management team members and other providers is timely and accurate.
Perform other duties as assigned by the site manager.
