VENTEON and HARVARD RESOURCE SOLUTIONS are hiring an Electrical Work Order Manager to provide support for a major utility company in Downtown, Detroit.
Working Arrangement: Hybrid, Contract to Possible Hire. PAY: $45.00 – 55.00 per hour Based on education and years of relevant experience.
- Plan and prepare work orders for multi-week schedule for groups involved in equipment outages, corrective and preventive maintenance, capital and operating/maintenance modifications.
- Work with internal resources, vendors, and contractors to develop and execute work packages maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs.
- Use coordination, planning, scheduling, and estimating skills to ensure maintenance is performed in a timely and efficient manner with verifiable metrics.
- Identify root causes of problems and establish a work scope for daily and project work.
- Develop accurate time and resource estimates that require appropriate levels of productivity.
- Develop accurate job plans that provide step by step process to complete the work scope efficiently.
- Validate resource and job plan estimates against actuals.
- Create and support accurate, complete multi-week schedules, including milestone dates for major projects.
- Build complete packages, including safety notices, which are validated through walk-downs.
- Manages backlog of consolidation requests.
- Complete the required purchasing and procurement tasks, as necessary.
- Develop, maintain, and support the management of preventive maintenance work.
- Create and maintain effective daily interactions with engineering, project management, various levels of job supervisors, specialty vendors and contractors. Provide oversight of employees and contractors as needed.
- Utilize the appropriate tools to create, plan, and execute the work, including Maximo, Documentum, scheduling software, and Office 365
Requirements of the Electrical Work Order Manager:
(1)Associate’s degree in an engineering discipline (or have completed two years of a four-year accredited engineering program) and two years of mechanical, electrical, or instrument experience working on equipment found at an electric or gas utility OR (2) High school diploma and three years of estimating, scheduling and planning experience in a power plant, electric utility, heavy industrial or heavy construction setting. OR (3) High school diploma with seven years of experience working on equipment in a power generating station, electric utility, heavy industrial or heavy construction setting in either a skilled trade or certified operating position
Other experience needed:
- Minimum 3 years of Electrical experience needed. Prior supervisory experience in electrical maintenance is a plus.
- Experience working with and developing work scopes and schedules is required.
- Ability to interpret P&ID’s, blueprints, drawings, schematics, measuring devices, and rigging and lifting equipment.
- Estimating skills predicated on reasonable, critical, and documented assumptions and reflect appropriate productivity from crew.
- Ability to coordinate information from various sources and interface with multiple customers to complete tasks.
- Knowledge of cost analysis regarding work orders
- Knowledge of LOTO and or PPO77 hazardous energy control.
- Instrument and calibration knowledge or experience.
- Strong organizational skills . Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Skills with tools such as Maximo, scheduling software (of any kind), Microsoft Office
