Schedule: Day Shift Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Organizes and coordinates performance improvement program activities and workflow.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures
Researches, develops/acquires and implements improvement systems, methodologies and tools to improve operations.
Collaborates with Leaders to develop and revise screening indicators.
Provides on-site training and follow-up for performance improvement teams
Performs regulatory documentation preparation, submission, and maintenance. Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
assists in policy, procedure and contract review process. Coordinates quality improvement initiatives.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
Certification specializing in Lean Healthcare Management preferred.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable
RN preferred with previous orthopedic experience in an acute care hospital setting or in surgical services.
3-5 years of clinical experience preferred.
Previous experience with MARCQI or another BCBSM collaborative quality initiative preferred.
Must be able to work independently and with key stakeholders to drive quality improvement.
Previous chart abstraction and data analysis experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft excel and developing Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.
Must be comfortable speaking in front of medium sized audiences and presenting data and quality improvement initiatives.
Previous quality improvement project experience a plus.
