This role in summary
Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Representative Technician. This is onsite role at our Paw Paw River Technology Center in Benton Harbor, MI.
This position, within the Commercial Laundry Team, reports to the V&V Lab Manager. The Representative Technician will collaborate extensively with software, electrical/electronic, and mechanical engineers on Connected Laundry Systems. The objective of this role is to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of electronic, mechanical, and other solutions, in accordance with project targets.

Your responsibilities will include
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Architecture, Design, and Software Development.
Conduct system verification and validation.
Develop test cases based on requirements and evaluate boundary conditions for testing.
Engage in continuous learning and professional development.
Participate in technical design reviews for projects.
Ensure that the device under test (DUT) delivers its intended functionality against design requirements.
Document software defects and manage resolutions with the engineering team.
Develop Connected Systems Test Cases to ensure seamless integration.
Participate in Electronics requirements reviews and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Validate software at the machine level and with automated tools.
Define and manage interfaces to all sub-systems in compliance with the system solution.
Support the definition of system validation plans and execute system validation testing.
Work collaboratively with Systems & Applications, Software Engineers, and management.
Provide timely and objective communications to all levels of the organization.
Fluent in the English language.
Minimum requirements
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years of experience in laboratory testing, software testing, system validation or system integration
Preferred skills and experiences
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite tools.
Able to demonstrate proactiveness and strong communication skills.
International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Foundations
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Science
2 years of technical experience in Electrical/Mechanical Product Validation Testing within the appliance, medical, or automotive industry.
Experience with requirement management software such as IBM Jazz (DNG, RTC, RQM), Codebeamer, Jira, or GitHub.
1+ years of System Validation experience.
Experience with electronics manufacturing processes.
3+ years of software testing experience.
1+ years of experience working with requirements management.
1+ years of experience reading and interpreting test procedures.
Possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical functional circuits.RSRWHRSRWH
