About the Role:
As part of the GM Digital Strategy team, this role will support the development of data-informed strategies that enhance the content and user experience across GM brand websites (Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac). Reporting to a Strategy Manager, this individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams—account, creative, data, and UX—to uncover actionable consumer insights, define audience needs, and guide the development of high-performing digital experiences.
The ideal candidate will blend critical thinking, storytelling, and research skills to craft clear, inspiring strategic narratives that drive measurable impact on KPIs such as engagement, conversion, and brand perception.
Responsibilities:
- Support strategy development across GM brand websites by identifying business challenges and consumer opportunities
- Analyze behavioral, performance, and SEO data to shape strategic points of view and inform content recommendations
- Develop audience personas and journeys through first- and third-party data, secondary research, and platform insights
- Write and present content and experience briefs that guide creative execution and drive digital best practices
- Partner closely with creative and UX teams to ensure strategies are reflected in copy, design, and information architecture
- Contribute to communications audits, competitive reviews, and benchmarking efforts across the automotive space
- Collaborate with internal and client teams on ad hoc research needs and custom insight development
- Monitor cultural trends, automotive industry shifts, and evolving digital behaviors to keep strategies forward-looking
- Translate research findings into compelling stories that inspire creative thinking and align with business goals
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in strategy, content strategy, or planning—preferably within an agency or digital environment
- Understanding of digital ecosystems, particularly large-scale websites and the role of content in user journeys
- Experience writing strategic briefs and collaborating on integrated campaigns or digital content development
- Familiarity with web analytics, social listening, SEO principles, and UX best practices
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in synthesizing qualitative and quantitative research into meaningful insights
- Curious, collaborative, and passionate about consumer behavior and emerging digital trends
