Job Summary: The objective of a Shipping & Receiving Clerk is to perform warehouse activities such as tracking and maintaining inventory, shipping, receiving, disbursements, identification of parts, and supplies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for entering information in JD Edwards software system
Responsible for performing all clerical functions related to the performance of job duties, including responding to all e-mail inquiries
Demonstrate the ability to follow departmental objectives, processes and procedures
Load, unload, and move material throughout warehouse areas
Develop proficient use of equipment and lifting devices not limited to forklifts, lift trucks, flat bed carts, hoists, and other lifting devices
Must be able to multi-task and meet all deadlines as assigned
Ability to complete all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma, GED or relevant work experience in lieu of education
2 years of related experience required in lieu of education. Fork Truck experience preferred. Scanning experience preferred.
Previous warehouse experience preferred
Must have a valid driver's license to operate forklifts, and be forklift certified.
Must be able to follow all safety and material management policies and maintain an organized work area
Must be able to work well with others
Must be able operate barcode scanners
Ability to work safely in a high paced environment.
Ability to work unsupervised
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Bilingual preferred
Physical Requirements:
Unimpaired speech, hearing, and sight (continuous)
Strength and Stamina
Ability to routinely lift 50lbs to chest level
Postural changes such as sitting, reaching, climbing, standing, walking and lifting (intermittent)
Ability to enter and exit lift trucks and other material handling vehicles multiple times per hour.
