Join Our Team as a Welder at Epiroc!
This Welder role is responsible for operating cranes, welding product, and maintaining welding tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the quality and production standards of the company.
Work Type (Onsite): This position will be based onsite at our Dexter, MI facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship.
Shift Timings: 1st Shift: 4:00 AM-2:30 PM, Monday - Thursday.
Responsibilities:
Layout, position, align and fit components into welding fixture as instructed.
Set-up gas-shield, mig-weld and weld parts to job specifications.
Read, interpret and understand blueprints and welding symbols to complete job assignments.
Use hand tools, clamps and grinders to perform job tasks.
Complete basic maintenance on welding equipment.
Adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices.
Any other duties that fall within the employee's capabilities.
Knowledge/Education:
Minimum of 1 years' experience in heavy duty machining/ manufacturing environment, preferred but not required.
Demonstrated skill level of wire feed (MIG) welding.
Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read tape measure and blueprints.
Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions.
Ability to layout parts using weld fixtures.
