Northern Michigan Engineering is currently looking for a Land Survey Technician.
This full-time position requires field work and some office work.
Job duties include, but not limited to assisting field work with general survey duties and
data collection.
• Operate surveying instruments including GPS equipment and data collectors.
• Set up and maintain survey equipment.
• Transport equipment safety to and from job sites.
• Record field measurements and maintain detailed field notes.
• Transport equipment to and from job sites.
• Perform basic calculations and verify data accuracy.
• Communicate with survey crew members
Land survey experience preferred but not required. Training Provided
High school Diploma or GED equivalent and Valid Drivers License
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions on uneven terrain.
• Physical ability to lift, carry and set up equipment weighting up to 50 pounds.
• Operate survey equipment, including GPS units and data collectors
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear protective gear
The starting pay for this role is competitive, with a range of $18-$25 determined by
experience, education and skills. Priority Health Medical Insurance available.
