This role is responsible for all aspects of the employment lifecycle.
Summary of Responsibilities
Maintains relationships and daily contact with local managers to ensure staffing goals are achieved
Manages recruiting processes in HR system, creates and maintains HR databases and files
Schedules interviews with hiring managers and follow up on candidate status
Coordinates recruiting including advertisement, interviewing, candidate management, and background checks
Responsible for employee onboarding, orientation, and training coordination
Conducts exit interviews on terminating employees
Communicates and answers questions of current knowledge of the company's organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
Collaborates in the development of processes for continuous improvement and training programs.
Customer service - handling questions from employees and general payroll questions from office administrators, human resources and accounting
Maintain employee details in Workday (deductions, banking, tax details, etc.)
Process and submit 401K files to Fidelity each payroll via the web
Process reports using Workday reporting, Business Objects and Excel for distribution both internally and externally
Process, review and update special payrolls as directed (bonus, profit sharing)
Review year end reports from Workday to verify year to date totals for accurate W2 printing
Validate and update vacation rates for the hourly payroll
Audits - assist and provide requested information, reports and documentation for internal and external audits
Labor contract - thorough understanding of the labor contract as it applies to bargaining employees pay
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
Preferred Qualifications
HR generalist experience in the steel industry or a manufacturing industry
Experience in Kronos highly preferred. ExperienceinWorkday preferred.
