Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this part-time role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including invoice management and vendor communication. This position is ideal for candidates seeking flexibility and the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Process and accurately record invoices in QuickBooks Online, ensuring proper coding and documentation.
Communicate with vendors to address discrepancies, answer inquiries, and confirm payment schedules.
Assist in preparing, scheduling, and submitting payments for approval.
Maintain well-organized records of invoices, approvals, and payment documentation.
Generate Accounts Payable aging and expenditure reports as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
Collaborate with team members to resolve accounting issues promptly. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable or a related financial role.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Capable of identifying and resolving discrepancies effectively.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a part-time capacity.
Familiarity with additional accounting software platforms is a plus.
Experience working in small to medium-sized businesses is preferred.
