Job Description:
Covet Security is seeking a skilled and reliable Alarm System Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with alarm systems, CCTV, card access controls, and network infrastructure. This role involves travel to job sites across the country, so a flexible schedule and willingness to travel is essential.
Responsibilities:

Install, program, and service intrusion alarm systems (residential and commercial)

Mount and configure surveillance cameras (IP/analog) and NVR systems

Install and wire electronic card access systems, readers, strikes, and control panels

Perform network setup and configuration for integrated security devices

Pull cable (Cat6, coax, fiber) through various environments (conduit, ceilings, walls)

Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications

Maintain accurate documentation of installations and service calls

Interact with customers on-site professionally and clearly communicate work performed

Maintain and operate company vehicle, tools, and equipment responsibly

Travel regularly to out-of-state project sites as needed
Requirements:

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in alarm, CCTV, access control, or low-voltage installation

Working knowledge of IP networking and structured cabling

Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Must pass a criminal background check

Must be able to travel out of state for project-based assignments

Comfortable working at heights (ladders, lifts, rooftops)

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (attics, outdoors, etc.)

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Good communication and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Axis, ExacqVision, DMP, Brivo, etc.)

Experience with fiber optics or rack-mounted network systems

OSHA 10/30 or other relevant safety training
